Be a key player in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for attendees at the AFS Youth Assembly: As a Registration Volunteer, you will be responsible for assisting with delegate check-in, providing information, and guiding attendees throughout the conference venue. This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of delegate interactions and contribute to the overall success of the event.
AFS Intercultural Programs is seeking volunteers to support the implementation and organizing of the 30th AFS Youth Assembly, which will take place from August 8-10, 2025 in New York City. The AFS Youth Assembly is a conference that brings together the world’s foremost young leaders and changemakers at the heart of global change. With an annual participation of more than 600 youth and as many as 100 countries represented, the AFS Youth Assembly is a global network of emerging leaders, social innovators, and advocates for sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be part of the team responsible for delegate relations, including welcoming, checking in, and assisting delegates with inquiries.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down the registration area.
- Welcome attendees and speakers at the entrance and distribute passes.
- Check-in attendees and distribute conference materials.
- Assist with moving session materials in and out of rooms in coordination with logistics volunteers.
- Help attendees navigate the conference venue and find their way to sessions.
- Guide attendees to their assigned rooms or seats.
- Report to the Head of Registrations and assist with other tasks as needed to contribute to the overall success of the conference.
